A Management Committee is responsible for the day-to-day running of the hall, including bookings, cleaning and maintenance and fundraising.
Representatives of village organisations and a number of residents elected at the Annual General Meeting held in March, form the Committee.
Future major projects include stage lighting and curtains, sports facilities and a children's play area.
The Meadway Hall is available for hire to bona fide organisations and individuals, by means of a Hiring Agreement. Regular users currently include: the Parish Council, Women's Institute, Whist Club, Youth Club, Fitness Class, Short-Mat Bowls and Parent & Toddler Group.
Other local organisations such as the Church, School and Cricket Club hold social and fundraising events. The Meadway Hall is also used as a well-appointed meeting place in central Somerset for various local bodies, and as a venue for private celebrations.
We hope that the Meadway Hall may be of benefit to you / your group and look forward to welcoming you.
